Midi change

Basically I drop some midi files into the arrangement view, but I'd like to use them via Battery drums. I have no problem using these midi files from my keyboard, all I have to do is send the output straight to my external sound card, then it'll trigger whatever I have within my keyboard workstation. However, I would rather use these midi files and trigger via Battery instead. How will I do that? I create a midi channel...throw Battery VST in it... from here what do I do to make the midi files to recognize the drums inside of Battery?
