Hey all just a quick question about clip launching and midi channels.. so i have midi channels set up to basically give me LED feedback.

i was just wondering is there a way to make it so it doesnt select the clip you launch? but only for midi channels?

i know it is possible to make it so it doesnt select anything you launch, but i'de like to select the actual audio clips i launch, but not the midi channels that just give my Novation launchpad LED feedback.

sorry if this wasnt very clear! i can try to re-explain if this doesnt make sense

thanks!

As far as I know that setting is all-or-nothing.

Out of curiosity, why launch separate MIDI clips for LED feedback? Other than drawing art on the Launchpad surface (who does that anyway? :)) every use of LED feedback I know of can be done either through Live's midi mapping or by routing currently-playing clips to the launchpad.

I'm basically using User 1 mode as a sort of effects pannel to include on/off switch for each effect and 3 pads for scale of wet/dry on the effect

the only way i can get led feedback is to make a midi channel, and then use midi tracks to basically make the light patterns i want..

im just not quite sure how else to do it.

but basically when i trigger an effect to turn it on, the only way to make the light stay on, or stay off, is thru a midi track and then you midi learn the button you want to light up to the midi track, and then you just map 3 of the 4 pads to the scale of wet/dry and use. and so you have one pad that is an on/off switch and 3 that scale the effect.
