De:Bug reports rumours that the now released 8.2.8 is the last update before Live 9. Usually De:Bug is very well informed on ableton and NI
So check updates, its just 6 more months to go

8.2.8 is still in beta3.
maybe it'll end with 8.3, who knows
I guess on 8.2.9 at least

8.2.8 has just been released, doesn't appear to be mentioned here officially yet though.

8.2.8 is announced on KVR and on De-Bug, but still no word about it on Abletons own website...

I'm a bit surprised because I had several crash with the last beta yesterday, reports and crashlogs sent.
That was a pure Audio Engine Crash. So understand my doubts here
well well well to be continued
Downloading final 8.2.8 and testing this weekend.
They will receive my mails on monday...we'll see

It looks like they are simply planning on moving on to 9. We'll see but there were basically no real bug fixes in the last two releases except the implementation of their improvement program. That does not make that much sense if they are just going to move to 9 without giving the improvement program much time.

For me Live 8.2.7 has been very stable. So don't know if I'm even going to update to 8.2.8. Maybe next time I update it'll be to Live 9
