Midi CC's from keyboard(piano kind)

Hey guys, just started using Live recently and I have a question that I hope someone here can help with. Im trying to create a midi track to send CC's to a light board for a planned out synchronized show. I want to know if there is any way to set Live to register individual keys on my keyboard(keyrig49). For ex, I want to push middle C and have Live record a value of 80, regardless of the velocity/intensity of the note. I know I can just go back and set each midi note individually but that would take years. Thanks so much!

What are your lights run with? That is the important question. I guess what I'd try, as a total stab in the dark, is to create a midi channel for light control. Have it's midi Out go to the appropriate channel and midi output specifically (or use external instrument). Then create clips in that channel in session view. Assign cc information and the ideal trigger settings to that clip and midi assign it to a key

I think i see what your saying, but im kinda shooting for something different. The software for the lights can be set up into "scenes" like a chase or fog machine. Each scene can be triggered by a midi CC message. My fog comes on to 87 for ex. I want to be in arrangement view with two tracks. The recorded song and a midi track. As the song plays, I want to be able to hit middle c for ex and have that send a CC message of 87. That way I just label my keys and "play along" with the song to automate the light show. Then I would just delete the audio and play that midi track(with output to the lighting software) with a click track while the band plays. If that is what you were explaining then I just misunderstood you

Do you know how to use midi clips in session view?
There is the launch type. You can set it to unquantized and either gate (stays on for only as long as key is pressed) or loop (once triggered, stays playing until either clip ends, is stopped, or interrupted by another clip).
You can edit an envelope for that clip. The envelop can be drawn for a specific cc# to send an amount or automation (87 for instance).
The output of the midi channel can go to the software.
The clip can be midi mapped to a note from your keyboard.

I am almost there I think. So I have set up the midi mapping for each clip which I am using as a different lighting "scene" such as fog or blue flash. I have them all in a the same midi column. When I go to edit the envelope for a certain clip, it changes the envelope for all of the clips. Any thoughts?
