Troubles with Ableton 8.2.5 + API 2500

Hey everyone, im having an inconvinient opening the API 2500 waves ecualizer, when i drag it into a new midi track and try to use it ,ableton crashes for a few seconds, then it recoveres, but if i open again the vst windows, it happends all over...
When i had XP i didnt have any of this problems, i was wondering if that could be a chance, im a w7 user now.

EDIT : this is not only with API , the whole WAVES package brought me this problem, i have download it several times from differentes sources, but nothing seems to be working fine.
