Live 8.2.7 Difficulties

Hi all.
I recently purchased a Novation Launchpad with Live 8 and it's incredible. I'm just having a couple problems I could use a hand with.
1) After playing for a lengthy period of time (eg. during a dance recital) the music randomly cuts out on the program (but keeps playing) and I have to move the play marker to get the sound to continue.
and 2) Every so often a sound file will increase it's tempo on it's own. I have tried correcting this through the tempo settings but it just causes further problems.
So if anyone knows how to solve these or what is causing them any help would be appreciated as I have a new show coming up and I really don't want one of these errors coming up again.
