can't use automation with NI Massive

Hi, I'm trying to get some automation out of a synth I'm using in Massive, but when I click on the area (in this case, one of the little boxes below the Dry/Wet knob) nothing happens, automation works fine with the knobs themselves but when I try to get more detailed and automate the settings plugged into those little boxes I can't get anything. These are the most important settings!

If anyone knows a way to get those working for automation in ableton please let me know!~
thanks

not sure what you mean "little boxes"
did you "configure" the plug in in Live?

the little boxes in massive are the targets for your envelops and LFO's, nothing you can automate. it's the routing of the synth. rahter animate the parameter than the routing

I am assuming you know how to automate in Live with other instruments. Infact, automating Massive is incredibly simple and one of the reasons I love it (Virus TI much more difficult). The way I do most of my automation is by using the macro controls (the bank of 8 knobs in the bottom right). Click & hold and drag to one of the little boxes you mention. Now click and hold the little box and drag either up or down. This will create your automation range. Go back to Ableton and select massive in your automation settings, then click on the macro controls in the drop down menu-job done.
