How can I create a slow volume fade-in for a song?

Hi there,

Starting from no sound at all, how can I slowly fade in a song?

Also, is there a way to play audio tracks backwards? Looking to do some Jimi Hendrix style backwards guitar effects.

Thanks,

Chris

How familiar are you with Ableton? Are you talking about an arrangement you've made or a live fade-in?

I hate to give a simple answer if that's not what you were going for, but try an automation envelope:

double click the line to create 'breakpoints' where you can change the slope of the lines

Thanks for the replies.

Dtrue17, I am not to familiar with Ableton yet but I had noticed what you pointed out but I was wondering if there was a way to do that with all tracks at once rather than each track individually.
