I originally bought the MacBook pro 13" in 09 and ran Live 8 fine. The video importing wasn't supported.

Is the 17" MacBook pro capable of importing and laying music to the video in desired sequences?

Or

Should I use a product like Final Cut Pro By Apple to import my music after final session creations?

If your wanting to play video in session view checkout JAM2. It allow Ableton Live to playback videos/ multimedia content natively.
