Bass tip from Seb Leger
Re: Bass tip from Seb Leger
indeed the freeze function into ableton live is not quiet 100% efficient.
I rather prefer recording the midi track to an audio track [It will be a straight audio copy]
If you use freeze with some instruments, it will not be the same.
If the enveloppe attack is long or LFO's are involved, freeze function is not efficient in every case.

Or you can use a synth with Osc retrigger. Two I know of and use are massive and sylenth1. Sure there are plenty more.

Or just use 1 oscillator, get a massive bass and not worry about phasing. #PROTIP

1. Freeze the source Midi track
2. Create an audio track
3. Drag the midi freeze to audio track
Done, You got a (very) slightly altered audio version of your original midi source...
Cheers
