Looking to buy an APC 40. Will it run OK from a USB hub. I have some USB equipment that won't and I'm running out of ports on my laptop. Cheers, Chris.

There's no guarantees with USB like this, but it's working fine for me.

It ought to work. The APC40 is a class compliant device, and the required bandwidth is minimal--much less than an audio interface, let alone a disk drive.

I use my APC 20 on a plain jane Staples USB hub with no problems here.

I run APC40, axiompro 25, maschine, and external hard drvie thru a powered usb hub without an issue.

What model of hub did you use methodamericon? I have a midi fighter and apc40 and they have had issues running together on my current powered hub.

I use maschine mikro, apc40, bcr2000, traktor kontrol x1^and z1, launchpad, LP25 and LPD8 on one hub. works fine. I noticed that using a usb soundcard on this hub isnt the best idea.

That's very impressive! Glad it works so well. I have definitely seen setups with many controllers and one laptop, so it must be possible!

What manufacturer/make is your hub?

I will have a look when iam at home, but i dont think i even thought about compatiblity when i bought it.

The MBPro only having two USB ports almost makes that a necessity for me.
I use a powered Belkin plug that works well

I run a APC40 with a standardized usb hub, no ghosts in the machine yet. A good device it is.
