some loops aren't matching song tempo

i have a song at 100 bpm. i want to use a loop that is 170 bpm and drag into the song. i notice that the loop is not matching the song's tempo, but other loops i use do. what am i doing wrong?

It almost certainly has to do with how you've warped the loop. It's probably not "autowarping" correctly, and you'll have to fix it manually. The following tutorials offer help:

Since it is almost double the tempo you might have to get a little tricky with the 170bpm. Such as pretend it is only at half that bpm and warp it that way. Sometime that helps.

Hello Vios, these are great videos as warping has been one of the most difficult parts (at least for me) for mastering Ableton. I have had the same situation and now I see how warping worked and how to correct. Thanks for sharing the videos.
