Alesis io2 with mac

I have to use my buddies Alesis io2 external soundcard and I can't get it to work. I thought it might of been the driver but according to text in the "Key Features" tab on this Alesis page:

it says "Class Compliant device: works with drivers which are built into Mac OS X, Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows XP".
Anyone know what Im missing??
