Hi:

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but a search did not yield the answers I was looking for.

My question is this, since operator runs within the Live program, will it be available to me if I am running Live as a ReWire client? The reason I ask is that I have not been able to get it to work, but there is nothing in the documentation (leaswise that I have found) that says it can't.

The operator should work. Like the simpler, impulse and built-in effects do.
You said it didn't work before. You mean with vst/au?

I was trying to use Operator as a Live effect (I did not think I could use it as a VSTi). However, when I dropped it in the track, it would disappear if Live was a ReWire client. Live in standalone mode worked great though.

Before I get my panties in a wad, let me look at this further. I was simply asking if it should work if Live is a ReWire client, and that question has been answered. Again, thank you for your response.

There was something wrong with my system. I would expect that it was due to some leftovers hanging around from another ReWire client that I was testing. A clean install of all the necessary components yielded the results that I would have expected.
