So when I try to map one of the launch buttons to turn an auto filter on and off and trigger it, it plays a piano note. For some reason the pads are set up to different notes chromatically. How do I get rid of this?

this is usually because your OS' general midi instrument is receiving the midi as well as Live. turn it off. in Winblows that would be in the Control Panel, IIRC or in your Live set if you're sending the midi back out.
