Is there a good way to combine two tracks into one?

I am trying take a stereo recording of a guitar and combine the right and left mics into one mono track. Thanks for any help. Seems like it should be simple but I just can't think of how to do this.

load file on track
use the utility plugin
make it mono
export a mono wav

if live doesnt allow mono track export (cant remember OTOMH) create a second track, mono, and set its input to be 1 of the channels from the stereo track post fx (since post fx signal will be mono, either L or R will carry a sum of both original channels then record enable the mono track and play your session while recording a summed mono version on the mono track
