how to link velocity to pitch in drum racks?

hey everyone, I was looking into getting more expressive drums via setting up velocity to make drum sounds pitch higher as velocity increases using simpler in drum racks. It's a really obvious feature of Impulse, but I can't seem to find a similar function on Simpler. Is this possible? I mean, I realize I could dump Impulses into the drum rack slots, but that seems a bit overkill. Anyways, if anyone has any info on how to do this, or tips in general for making drum sounds less monotonous (creating variation), I'd appreciate it.

I don't think Simpler will let you map velocity to pitch. You could vary the pitch with the LFO or map velocity to the filter cutoff to vary the sound, though.

I was beginning to suspect that, lame. It does seem, however, that each impulse instance is not exactly eating my cpu resources though, so I might just go that route. Found this video on the subject, seems like a decent workaround.
