limited "release" in Operator?

Post by apimah » Mon Mar 12, 2012 2:01 pm

Hi, I want to know if with operator is possible to create an infinite sound. When I use Malstrom in Reason, if the release is set to 100%, the sound will be infinite. In operator the release maximum is 60 sec. It's not possible set a release more than 60 sec? Thank you

No, it's not possible to have a release time of more than 60 seconds in operator. If you want a longer note, you can always drag your midi note out.

I don't know why you'd want a longer release time? Who are you writing music for? humpback whales?! :D

In live infinite length notes are created a different way. Using loop markers set inside the start and end note point. The loop never encounters another start or end , so sustains infinitely. There are posts on the forum about it.
