I need help with about the Akai LPD8 "program change" button

Hi Guys,
I really really need your help. I am finding a way to utilize the midi program change (not cc messages) messages. Tried mapping them but the problem is ableton says every pad is sending "pitchbend", I've gone into the editor and changed each of the pads to a unique control change setting, but live still says they are all the same (on the midi map mode it says pitchbend) Thanks...
