hello all,this topic is not about live,its about reason:

some days ago [ reason was working ] my pc suddenly turned off [ win xp ] and now when i want to open rns files reason writes me :

file system object not found
the operation could not be completed
because the file system object was not found

damn . i reinstalled windows , but nothings helping ...... if somebody had this prob before .. let me know ....

so thats it,i posted it in few places,still dont have the cure, anybody?

try Re installing Reason .

1) if your pc suddenly goes out and you have open documents you don't want to loose , do NOT allow scandisk to run the next boot :
the files might be corrupted but are 9/10 still functional. --> reboot the pc without a diskscan , reopen the documents and save them in a new location . Now you can run scandisk at next boot.

If you let scandisk run the first time after the crash it will detect the possible corruptness in the files and try to fix them , making them permanently unusable: Scandisk tries to fix the consistency of your whole drive , not of a specific file !!!

2) if you have reasonspecific problems , I suggest you head over to the General Forum on reasonstation.net. You might get some complaints that you're not posting in the correct forum , but I can assure you , this way your post will be checked by the biggest most experienced group of reasoners , and some twats too ;-)
