A way to pre-load sets in a simultaneous workflow

This is an issue that we've had many times playing as a live band. Ableton will only let you switch between sets by closing the existing set and loading another. The problem this offers that it means that say you have a 45 minute set that you want to play with 6-7 different tracks at varying tempo/audio files/effects etc. It's not really possible for you to load everything in your live set into one ableton 'live set' because there would be so many different audio and midi channels it would be almost impossible to navigate on a screen. Or even if you can, it's not visually a very clean or easy way to go about it.
So your only other option is to load the tracks into ableton sets 2 or perhaps 3 at a time, which then has to be manually changed at a point where audio from the laptop would drop out. In addition to that from what I've found the set changeover/load period is by far the most likely time for your laptop to crash or freeze.
Would it not be possible to perhaps create an option for a dual screen mode or loading phase which would allow for changing between songs and sets freely and bookmark specific sets you will use in an upcoming session so that they guarantee to pre-load quick?
