Akai MPD32 knob controlling tempo - how to set sensitivity?

Can anyone help med here?

I'm using an Akai MPD32 as midi-controller for Ableton Live. I've set knob K1 to control global tempo (bpm), however when I turn the knob, the tempo seems to change in intervals of like 10bpm. Meaning there's no way I can change tempo from, say, 97 to 92bpm. When turning the knob, even at the slowest pace, tempo skips from 97 directly to 89. I'm thinking it's a matter of adjusting - either in Live or on the MPD - the sensitivity, but I have no idea how to do this. Help me, please!

You can set the range of the BPM (or any parameter) in the midi mapping list.

Thanks, but still not sure how. I right click the mapping and I can invert the range, that's it. What am I missing here?

when you are in midi mapping mode it should be on the left in the browser (command shift b) there is a section that says "min" and "max"
