I've made tutorial on a technique I've been using which I call pllooping - Programmed Live Looping. Essentially you program or sequence all the "button presses" for your loopers (and loading sounds) ahead of time which allows you to get much more intricate that "traditional" live looping. I also touch on another technique I call micro looping, as well on some other tricks. I hope you find it helpful!

ps. If you're pretty good with Ableton most of this stuff will probably be obvious to you, including the whole concept of pllooping, so you don't really need a tutorial. Just take this tip: Always use draw mode to draw in the looper controls. 8)

Hey, Shaun -- just posted to your tutorial's page, but figured I'd ask here, too.

Q: Would you be willing to share your plooping template file to give those of us interested in testing your system a quick jumping-off point to see if we can incorporate it into our work? Cheers!

I would, but this one is based on a professional midi file I bought, and don't? have the rights to redistribute. :(
