i'm not a regular on this forum so sorry.

but

my live 9 prediction.

full video/visual integration in a creative context. (anyone who has seen JAM2 or VIZZABLE/V-Module knows its doable. Video tracks, video clips, video effects, visual synths, video instruments)

maybe some ridiculous ipad app.

and a license free version of maxforlive where you can use devices without editing, like reaktor session (PluggoForLive?)

i'll shut up now.

Yes, the Max Player idea came to mind recently. Plus, some developers can still make $$$ if they sell their patches...
In reality they'd still charge for it. The fact that they're selling "Hip Hop" samples for $50 at this late in the game is tacky imo. I'd love to think they'd add it for free just as a "sorry we took so long without saying anything" but I doubt it. Sorry to be a debbie downer :(

I hope they leave ipad out of it; all they need to do is open up the api a little more.
Neutral on the video.

the visual intergration, is something that Robert Henke, hinted at his recent lecture in london.he stated that it was the field which excited him the most which left as all concluding that live 9 would have some sort of jitter intergration

Live isn't Henke's personal sandbox, he can use whatever software he wants and wouldn't be limited to only using Live for everything he wants. this is the same guy that said nobody needs a vocoder right before Live 8 was released with a vocoder (I always forget it has one.)

You sound like someone who doesn't like Live 9.

what's there to not like? :?

what I do look forward to is the Abes blowing my mind with tweaks to my DAW of choice. they impress me, 99% of the crap people post about what they know Live 9 will be like doesn't.

this siht was getting old months ago, now it's the same crap over and over again.

take into account that I read here much more often than you do. think about it...

The word DAW gives me the creeps and always has. I think DAW I think FLAW. Live is a performance tool and always has been. Why not extend it beyond opening it up to developers? People who want Ableton to have things other 'DAWS' have will just turn a unique environment into another bland utilitarian work space.

I don't want that. I have tons of other 'DAWS' for that.

yawn @ semantics.

allow me to rephrase, the people at Ableton come up with far more impressing things than you will. there's a feature request forum, I suggest that you use it.

it's common sense netiquette (should you chose to use it) to search a forum for a topic before posting about it. this helps forums from becoming repetitive and boring. please read ALL the threads on Live 9 before going on with this. you probably don't want to read the dozens of existing threads any more than I wanted you to make yet another tedious bullshit Live 9 thread. of course I can choose what I read and reply to and ignore this kind of crap.

I'm gonna have lunch. good day sir.

Every time you say netiquette God rapes a lexicon.

thanks for replying to something you've clearly read a thousand times *generic forum sigh*

Ableton has already gone down this road. It try to be all things to all people. Hopefully they will refocus to Live performance.

Bitwig (if it even comes to light) will most likely head down the same road of trying to be both a daw and a live performance tool according to the limited info that is out there.

This is why traktor will have a leg up as they implement features that are aimed at live performance workflow, but for some reason it's not quite there for me...Yet

If we’re using time between releases as a measure of what to expect, Live 9 will cure AIDS.

Ableton Live... Now more like Logic Pro! Which is cheaper than a Live Upgrade!

Logic Pro.... Still with no performance matrix.
