MIDI clip and tempo woes

Augh, please help!

I have a song at 150 BPM. I import a MIDI track that a friend recorded in Cubase into Live (8.2.8 Mac OS X ) and the Orig. BPM of the clip is all screwed up. It says "115 BPM" and is played twice as fast as it should.. if I double the tempo the track aligns perfectly (230 BPM) but the sustain pedal (for example) automations still stay in the original tempo.. actually, the automations aren't scaled along with the MIDI notes when changing the tempo at all.. surely this is a bug? Its pretty useless the way it is now...

On a side note; if the MIDI clip could just be imported at 150 BPM to begin with, this wouldn't be a problem.. but dragging the clip from the file explorer sets the tempo all wrong... is there some other way to import MIDI clips perhaps? I have no idea where 115 BPM comes from.. except that its the default tempo I start my template with.. aahhh wait a minute.. *restarting Live*... ok, restarting Live again... lol, now the clips that were 115 BPM are suddenly 120 BPM (not that it helps) and importing it again now shows the clip (Org. BPM) at 150 BPM... playing twice as fast again nonetheless...

sigh... fixed it by setting the tempo of the project to 75 instead of 150 BPM... guess it works for now.. but surely the non-scaling of automation when changing the tempo of a MIDI clip is wrong? Oh well, back to work
