Virus on Plugins?

So I just got about 2500 plugins on ebay.
When installing them I kept getting warnings that files had been blocked because of 'suspiciouscloud.2' or a trojanadh and things like that. I was googling it and certain people had said some patches just become detected as that even though they aren't dangerous.

Have any of you gotten viruses from plugins?

I'm using Windows 7.

wow, 2500 plugins... what for a VST avalanche!!!

seriously, how much did you pay for 2500 plugins???

I'm pretty sure you got cracked stuff, possibly filled with crap virus and non-registered files.

did you get any serial number?? (don't tell me this is free plugins, you paid for it!!)

wipe this shit out of your system and get a fresh clean up / reinstall of your system mate, you've been played.

Good luck

I'm assuming the 'patches' you're talking about are not VST preset patches.. and are instead 'patches' to crack the software you bought off ebay.

If so, you can definitely ignore those warnings.. They aren't dangerous at all.. maybe even disable your AV so you can install all 2500 of them quicker without getting annoying false warnings.

I just had sex with 2500 Thai women and now my penis has gone a bit black and lumpy. Some people say this is normal and I should just ignore it, what do you guys think?

I know, right? Maybe these Anti-Virus companies can get their shit together and stop reporting false positives on files that are clearly legit.

Oh for God's sake. 2500 Vsts is about 100 times more than anyone could hope to use effectively regardless of whether they are dangerous, legit or whatever.

Here's an idea- get rid of all that shit, then decide what would be most useful to you right now. For many people that would be a synth of some sort as the effects in ableton are quite usable. Find one or two good ones and learn them properly. Learn how to use the effects you have properly. Once you've done that, if you think you need more, get them gradually. Preferably legitimately.

Is this it? Doesn't say what you get, but it's everything you need to make music like the pro's! Except knowing what to do with it all of course.
