Hello Fellow Button Pushers,
The options.txt is a mystery to me. I saw Ableton posted in their FAQ an explanation of what this file does and a list of really useful commands and what you can do with them. But then, I came across a post in AbletonOp blog and I read about a secret feature: 'Map Macro to Siblings'. Which is amazing!!

How did he know about this command? and where can we find more commands with explanations?
I saw in the forum a list of commands from Live 4 but some commands don't work and there is no explanation to what each commands do.
Any insights will be appreciated

I've followed the directions and tried both options.txt and options.rtf and made sure to save it in the path: Users(my name)->Library->Preferences->Ableton->Live 8.3 which has the Preferences.cfg file and still no option to "Copy or Map to Siblings"...
I'm running Mac OSX 10.6.8 & Ableton Live 8.3
Please help!

Capital 'O' in Options.txt is vital

map a device's knob to a group macro, THEN right-click the knob again to see the 'map to all siblings' option.
you wont see it until you've already mapped the first one.

Yes I've tried that through the Map to macro and also through the Midi Map (CMD+M), also by trying to add new drum racks, instrument racks and sampler... I don't understand what it could be... I used OpenOffice to make sure the Options.txt was in plain text format as well...

without having a snoop at your system, no idea.
you have the same setup as me - 10.6.8 + Live 8.3 - so should work.
i could have a look at your setup via ichat's screen share if you want.
PM me your ichat username/email if you'd trust a stranger to remote-peep around your mac
