Okay so we all went in for beat the clock competition.
It was really fun to do.
And the prizes are attractive !
I mean, lifetime Ableton products ! It's a dream for all of us.
Then as we read between the lines we understand there's no jury just some rubbish social network licking to get votes.

Comment from one of the top three disappeared but it said in substance : "I got all my family and community and people at college all together to make me win"

Quote from Daft-e (Actual second with 501 votes) : "HEY EVERYONE! WANT TO MAKE MONEY SITTING ON YOUR ASS? Just go to: http://www.XXXXXXXX.com/ and type this in as your invite code - 2Q6U resolve captchas and make money! Ideal for students and mothers at home. ;)

What I would like to know is what people from ableton actually do think of the music they're going to promote as top of the top. Because I personnaly do feel it's no good and that is not what I think of ableton and of the tremendous possibilities of the program !

So get in the contest but you have to have an advice on music ! don't be just nerds with an economic battleplan !

OK, the prize are great, but participating was already much fun !!
First it was the occasion to enhance our skills (24h for a song is intense)
Secondly I was amazed at the diversity of the sounds that were created with the same source.
Plus I met some really cool and gifted people.

Forget Daft-e, don't let the fun out of it :)

And... vote for me !!

Yeah seriously, that's some weak shite.

That said, music biz is just that, BIZ.

I am totally with you in hoping that Ableton sees the difference between someone who is an advertising student (Daft-e) and those who have actually put their best creative foot forward... and for some of us... put ourselves on the line (for those of us who don't often put their creative work out to the public).

I agree, this is a really fun competition, and the entries are really creative. I too have met a ton of people through this competition, and feel like I've connected musically with people from around the world.

There's not enough that can be said for that feeling. It's inspiring, encouraging, and a great opportunity for all of us to learn from each other.

Yeah I wanna go to Berlin, but it's not gonna happen. I'd love to be in the top 25, but that's not gonna happen either. But I've already gotten so much out of this that it's okay. What I WOULD like to see is a final ranking by Ableton -- whether that's by total votes, or what THEY like best. One way or the other, that would be nice. And this is coming from someone who will definitely rank in the lower 5 percentile.

Cheers to all contestants. This is fun, and I've enjoyed pretty much everyone's submissions.

Did you all notice that those suspected of buying votes had their's thrown out. Like six people in the top ten are gone!
