The crunchyness sound of Ableton vs other DAW's is so apparent its a pain to always have to bounce a project and mixdown in another just to have a nice final mix. Will this ever be addressed?

I disagree... could you post something from ableton and the same thing in whichever other daw you use

Why would it be addressed? It's 2012. It's all about the crunchiness. Get with the times!

Are you confusing crisp with crunchy? It's a common mistake especially if English is a second language.

i'd say abletons audio engine is quite crisp, but theres some crunch too. its also well seasoned and i personally find theres a touch of spice, but not too much. and it smells like a strong whiskey.

I'd like to hear an A - B comparison with another DAW too.

I don't know that crunchy would describe it but I do like Pro Tools for a final mix. To me it's just easier to get the sound I'm looking for.

i was hoping they'd go for tinny with 9 and then move on to cold with version 10.

Transparent is the word. I use to feel the same way myself until I decided to beat the laziness and take the time to tweak out all the parameters in getting the sound I was looking for.

Pro Tools, Cubase et al, are "ready made", comercial or "Instant"sounds.

Like coffee, I find that the best brew is only had when brewed from freshly ground coffee beans. That is not to say that one cannot get a good cup of the Instant type sold in a jar. If you get what I mean.

Sorry, as a specialty coffee roaster I agree with the first part of your statement here but not the second. There is absolutely NO POSSIBLE WAY to get a good cup of coffee out of canned, instant coffee. I don't think that necessarily negates your point, but I couldn't let the analogy stand.
