As observed, The as-yet unreleased, (even in beta) Bitwig is among the contenders!
No Ohm studio though, and that's been out for at least a couple days!

Ableton well in the lead.

"To minimize vote stacking, the poll is configured to only allow one vote per person per day. The poll will be available through the end of the day June 15th."

This would allow 15 votes per computer until the 15th. I use quite a bit of different computers
And my cache is cleaned everytime I close Safari, does it track/record IP's?
Will only vote a single time though

I also was a bit baffled, "to avoid vote stacking, we've designed a system so each individual can only vote 15 times".

...and we're telling you about it so you can circumvent it knowingly rather than blindly.


"BEST" based on votes. so the DAW with the most users that visit that site wins. the results should be truly enlightening. popularity contests tell us so much.

Much as I appreciate your self-appointed role as forum moderator, I imagine the folks at Ableton would prefer to win a completely pointless pissing contest that might influence an unquestioning and pliable mind toward using their product, rather than not, no? Especially what with them being specifically singled out in the introduction for stalled development.

The "poll" allows you to vote as 'Best DAW' a program which has not been released, and is not even in Beta yet.....

even for something as dumb as a DAW poll, that is REALLY dumb.

and it has 9 votes anyway.

I hope it wins, actually. The best DAW is the one literally nobody has ever used!!

having said that though, Bitwig has allowed me to not finish tracks faster than any other DAW.

I'm sure their development team will be all over this poll, and all the people in this forum who are sure it's going to kill ableton.

Oh well, it will certainly be entertaining if they do win, would be like that musicradar poll that put FlStudio in #1 position.

i wanted to see the results again... so i voted again... from the same computer. it appears the fail safe has failed. the Titanic was unsinkable too.
