When inserting reaktor on a midi clip, I set up my midi keyboard, and the second I hit a key, live "unexpectedly quits."

My cpu is a TiBook 10.3, 512 megs of ram, any help anybody?

I'll try this myself later.... to see if it happens on my Ti too.

I am using Reaktor 4.0.0.002 and Live 4.1.1, also when loading live, it takes a very long time to get to going, Is there any way to somehow optimize my mac without reinstalling the OS?

Hi Staiolz,

you should use the the latest versions of Reaktor 4.

The scanning of VST/Au plugs can cause delayed starting of Live. You could try to remove plugs you do not use.
Beside that we hope to improve the scanning speed in future versions of Live.

Alex

I'm running Reactor 4.1.3 and Live 4.1 on a 800mhz powerbook. The one song song I use Reactor as a soft synth in, I fire Reactor sequences in Live via midi clips with pattern changes in them. Works fine. Earlier versions of Reactor are unstable, this last version is pretty good. :)

Some reaktor ensembles use way too many resources. Try reducing the sample rate on reaktor.

Honestly on a tibook I think just running the reaktor standalone seems the only way to go. This is why I have not installed it on mine.
