Latency topic

I could post this on a wherever forum, but someone has 2 clear this out for me please. What's up with Latency and Ableton? How do I manage 2 not have so much latency on hardware ???
1: Driver error compensation: is the double of my input and output latency right, when I invert this setting to minus those milisec's i get 0 at overall Latency is that the way 2 do it ? or not ?
2: When using a drumcomputer it syncs better with the delay compensation off here ( ESX from korg ex. ) Is that also the way 2 do it ??? or not ?
3: How do I have 2 set my Track Delay for external Gear to sync properly with the bpm ??? ( as the nord is a little bit off here )
4: Do I have 2 adjust the midi clock sync Delay in preferences??? so that my external gear syncs better ???
What sync type and how do I know how many ms it has 2 be ???
5: what about the hardware Latency ms option for Ext intstuments.
Inserting the same ms from the driver error compensation 2
one of the above stuff does not change much ?
There's like 5 options for latency here I also did that ableton tutorial on the delay comp but still it does not work at all like how it should in my ears
most of the time i sync stuff on solo and with the metronome
When using the same stuff in logic i have ZERO Latency
???
