I need help how do I assign or configure the keys/Buttons on my keyboard so that I can hear it because there's NO SOUND!!!!

You could for instance say hello and introduce yourself.
And then, describe what gear you're using and how. A USB keyboard ? Plugged in MIDI in an interface ? Are you familiar with the preferences ? Have you looked into the manual ?

Have you followed the tutorials that show you how to set up your sound card and your MIDI keyboard?
What's the urgency, do you need to have that hit record finished by tomorrow?

Have you turned your speakers on?

do you mean your computer keyboard or a midi one?

Heyy Guys well basically I'm using the m-audio keystation 88es its a usb keyboard which I just bought today, I also installed ableton and connected the usb the software is reading the keyboard as I have followed the tutorials and watched some many videos. However I still don't understand how to configure the keys/buttons to produce sound from the laptop and there are no tutorial for my specific keyboard so that's why I am finding it very hard. And what do u mean by setting the sound card?

have a look in options, preferences, midi/sync and select your control surface. Then turn on remote and sync for the usb audio device.

I cant answer under this kind of intense pressure

The Keystation 88es doesn't really have any buttons or controls. There's really no need to set it up as a control surface, just make sure it's showing up in your midi in on the I/O section of the mixer in Live. (If you mean the Keystation Pro 88 that's a different story -- I have both of these keyboards and both work just fine with Live -- in that case you have to set it up as a controller in the MIDI/SYNC tab in Preferences).

Also -- may seem simple, but are you record enabling the midi track you want to hear sound from (or turning the monitor button to ON)? Are you getting any sound from any other tracks? Make sure you have a valid sound card/audio source enabled in preferences.

Let me know if you have any other problems, but this should be pretty simple. Take a deep breath.

thanks chris:) but, i set the control surface as none,input and output as USB keystation 88es. I also turned the 'sync' and 'remote' on. the audio device is set to ASIO, i dont understand what more there is to do??

Do you have a MIDI instrument on your MIDI track in Live?

i have an m-audio keystation 88es but i can hear the audio?
