Hey,

I just bought Ableton Live and have figured out how to set up my Behringer BCF2000 control fader in Mackie Emulation mode (a bit hard to work out, seeing as the .pdf on emulation modes doesn't contain a guide for Live).

Anyway, so I've figured that out - still getting used to it. Quick question:

I can record the automations done with the BCF2000, however, I cannot figure out how to record only one automation. For instance, let's say I record one fader, which controls the scream for a Massive patch. After that, I want to record the pitch automation. When I record the pitch automation, and I only move the fader for the pitch, the scream automation is overriden by a stationary automation, because I did not touch its fader.

A solution would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I'll do some more reading when I finally figure out how to improve bloody Studio Drummer's CPU usage.

Also, thanks to Studio Drummer, when I export my tracks from Ableton, it's all choppy and glitchy. This didn't happen when I was using Nuendo - it'd sound choppy when listening through Nuendo, but it would export a non-choppy track. Any solution to this either?

EDIT: Problem was iZotope Nectar. Automating the bypass function of the doubler seems to screw things up.

CHOPPY??????? _ when you export, ableton FAILS if you dont disable multi cpu support . - i contacted them after getting a high number of audio drops and clicks in export files. - The advice i got was, 'disable multicore/multiprocessor-cpu'. - then the reason was 'Exporting is a single task, so only one core can perform it. having multiple cores can cause conflict. - You could try this? - Ive had not had a propper chance to try and test the results but it seemed to work...
