i want to edit wav samples on live
how do i find or download a sample editor

(i thought it came with live?)

to the degree that you can manipulate start/stop points and warping, you can do this with live.

otherwise, audacity is as cheap as it gets and workable. dsp-quattro is very nice and not too expensive. peak is bloated and pricey but a lot of ppl love it. or you can use logic/cubase/dp if you have them.

Audacity WOULD be perfect, except that it insists on saving the file as Audacity format, so you have to export as a wave and replace the orignal, which kinda screws up the whole round trip.

I REALLY wish Ableton would just add simple destructive editing to Live!

really consolidate is destructive editing
(except you get a new copy automatic) so the original is not destroyed
