It will work on the Surface Pro with i5 cpu.
That would make a nice little "on the go" machine. However I would not go to the trouble of installing OS X on it as Ableton will work just the same on Win8.
I am quite impressed with this new product. Ivy Bridge i5 cpu on a ipad sized device, that mean it also include the HD 4000 gpu from the basic macbook pro. Diablo 3 should run just fine on the 10inch screen.
I still have my first generation Ipad and the surface pro might be what will replace it even if it's priced over 800$.
The pro specs so far;
Intel Core i5 (Ivy Bridge)
10.6-inch ClearType Full HD (1920x1080) capactive touchpanel
microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, 2x2 MIMO antennae
Pen Input with 600dpi of res
The covers (touch cover is capacitive, Type cover have real physical keys)
64GB / 128GB ssd

Surface RT pricing
32GB WiFi - $399
64GB WiFi - $499
32GB LTE - $499
64GB LTE - $599
Surface Pro pricing
64GB WiFi - $799
128GB WiFi - $899
64GB LTE - $899
128GB LTE - $999
Here are the prices that we see on circulating on rumors site. No idea where it come from but it look somewhat legit. If the Pen digitizer is the same as on the eee slate or the Samsung series 7 slate, I'll get one for sure.

...hmm...and that says what exactly ?
that was the RT version freezing btw...
the PRO is a plain ol' PC (with a touchscreen)..
shouldn't be much different than a laptop..
that said.. I rarely buy version 1.0 of anything..

Very positive article about the Surface on Gizmodo;
http://gizmodo.com/5919521/microsoft-su ... dium=email
They also say that the pen digitizer will be pressure sensitive (and 600dpi) which is absolutly awesome.
@alphadelphi; yeah yeah... Epic Fail... blablabla...
