Ableton and the Roland R8M Drum Machine

Is there any way in Live to use (or create) a device that can sequence a Roland R8M (the rack version) drum module. Specifically what I want to do is see the instrument names next to the Midi Piano roll editor in Live in the same way you would see them in a standard drum rack. I don't mind having to create the instrument names myself as I know the assignments, I just need to know whether such a thing is even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated
