videosync to live

Hello,

is there a possibility to sync a video(modul) to Live?
Or the best: a video-vstplugin. (But I think, there is´nt one)
I know a winamp plugin, that makes it possible to start, stop... winamp via midi, but of course I need the possibility to work in different parts
in the arranger of live, an the video must follow.
And to sync Live via rewire disables the vst-section, that´s shit.
I think, midi would not be the solution, because I need more than a start/stopsignal, also a permanent localisation of the timeline.

merci

bon jour,

i sent Midi Time Code to LIVE from my other machine
that runs protools. i use protools for video playback and to print my mixes to.

i set LIVE to EXT and set the timecode of set in the preferences window.

maybe this will work for you?

you mentioned winamp, so you're probably on windows, but if you happen to be on osx:

btw apologies to fellow users, i used the search tool and found quite a few threads dealing with this issue and also found Arkaos being mentioned somwhere, so it was my fault at not using the "Search" tool

sincere apologies

viz, I'm pretty darned sure dirtystudios was replying to rentront, the *original* poster of this thread, and yes, there is a distinct possibility that he might be using osx.

for some reason i think revision won't let you use midi tracks in live.
it's weird. audio works fine, midi tracks put out no sound.

oh rite, im realy sorry for that... apologies to dirtystudios,,, i was a little too aggressive for not gettin a correct answer to my question in the post.

however dun take me wrong, im not anti-mac.... i love it... but theres a fact that MACs are over-priced here in India, and have limited service,, and that precludes me frm buyin it and stickin with PC. although one day im sure to grab a slice of Apple.

...Taking The Instrument and Effect capabilities away from live in Slave mode is shit. I believe even Revision does that.

It's like having a brand new sports car with no wheels. Just plain shit. Can't go anywhere. :x
