Minor

Hi, If i'm in a minor key, would i play the harmonic minor scale for chords and melodic minor scale for melodies, or would i have to choose between them?
Same scale for both, of course. There's also natural minor. The note differences are only for the 6th and 7th intervals:
Natural m6, m7
Harmonic M6, m7
Melodic M6, M7 (strictly, use M7 ascending and m7 descending) The V chord is always MAJOR with this scale
