Ableton Forum

Hello. I thought I only ever experienced this on one track but it's now happening on my latest one. I have the "strings - bright cello" effect dropped on a few midi notes. It used to play fine, but suddenly does not produce a sound. If I remove the effect and drop it back on by cutting and pasting it works again, but only intermittently - not every note will play and then it'll stop altogether again. Now, if I cut the effect altogether and bring it back in out of the instruments rack, it plays again - but then all the tweaks I did to the chains and devices are lost.

Thought maybe it was to do with memory or something, (shouldn't be) but I froze all the other tracks and the cello would still not play.

So anyone have a clue what the problem might be?
