8.4b3 does not recognize midi controller UC33E

My UC33E does not show up in the midi preferences in version 8.4b3.

No problems in 8.3.3

I tried reparing the latest drivers. Switching power on and off, several reboots. Using different usb ports.
Anyone having similar issues ?

could you please clarify what exactly you mean by "does not show up in the MIDI preferences"?

Does the UC33e appear in the list of Control Surfaces?
Are the related UC33e MIDI ports appearing in the MIDI Ports section?
If you are on Windows, did you make sure to run the latest drivers - also the dedicated 64-bit ones if your run the 64-bit beta?

I couldn't reproduce any oddities over here. The UC33e runs fine with 8.4b3 (64-bit) on both Mac OS 10.6.8 and Win 7, both as Control Surface and with manual mappings.

If it still doesn't work for you, please send a Live 8.4b3 status report (Help menu -> Get Support... ) directly to support@ableton.com.

Yes The UC33e appears in the list of control surfaces. But; it does not appear in midi Ports.( However my Korg Nanokontrol does.)
I removed and reinstalled dedicated 64bit drivers, but the UC33e still doesnt appear in Midi Ports.
Everything seems to work just fine in 8.3.3

I am using Windows 7 64bit.

I will email the status report.

With Ableton support we managed to solve this problem.

Here is the thing that did the trick:
I googled for removing registry items for the uc33e and found this site

Its not really entering/editing the registry but more deleting old hidden hardware devices.

I found about 6 (old) uc33e devices, removed them all, restarted laptop, restarted ableton 8.4b3 and its working fine now !
(So this also works for Windows 7)
