Hello , I have been using ableton for a few years now and feel that I often find creativity limited because I can only assign one midi control knob to any one of abletons mappable parameters ,
Like many other users I have a selection of different controllers So being able to access the same functions accross different layers would open up more creativity , for example I have a Xone 4d Mixer , when i go to midi shift mode I would like to keep some controls the same over both layers however I cannot map say volume for track 1 to the same fader on my mixer twice without the existing map being replaced
I feel a system like traktors midi mapping would be too complicated with modifiers for the average user, Lives midi mode is fine the way it is although if in a future upgrade the ability to map extra mappings to controls that already have a user assigned midi function without replacing that map would be awesome.
