momentary effects, trigger finger style.

i know literally one million people have asked about this, but i'm going to ask a specific question
the m-audio trigger finger is great for momentary effects - applying an effect when you push the button, turning it off when you take your finger off the button.
Does the korg nanopad do the same? is the cheap pleastic production really noticeable?
