i know literally one million people have asked about this, but i'm going to ask a specific question


the m-audio trigger finger is great for momentary effects - applying an effect when you push the button, turning it off when you take your finger off the button.

Does the korg nanopad do the same? is the cheap pleastic production really noticeable?

the nanopad is more than adequately suited for triggering momentary effects. You're literally sending a note on/ off message and that's it. The only place the nanopad would be debatable is with velocity sensitivity (which I still think it's fine at).

yeah, Trigger Finger has aftertouch though, which is pretty cool if you want to, say, turn on an effect and then sweep a parameter of it. Obviously this is extraneous info to your initial query, but if you are looking at the tradeoffs, that is one.
