I need help making a computer for live performance.

Hello! I have been using Ableton Live 8 on my home studio computer for quite some time, but recently I have taken an interest in using Live 8 to preform live with some local bands, and I need to either build or purchase a laptop or small desktop that would be strong enough to run several synths, and have very low latency. I don't really want to spend more than $600 if it can be avoided though (so mac's are entirely out of the question). I mainly run Nexus2, FM8, Massive, Reaktor, and contact, so I need something that can handle running these live. I use a MPK49 midi controller, and I have a firestudio mobile audio interface as well as a Behringer DI box to get rid of ground loop problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could actually probably find a refurbished or used MacBook for around that price if you hunt around.

I'd rather avoid used products if I could. I have terrible luck when it comes to them D:

I personally like the HP and Lenovo (Thinkpad)brands..
true desktop replacement laptops are over 1000$...
