Hi,
I'm wanting to get a midi keyboard controller and am looking at either the Korg Kontrol 49 or possibly the Novation ReMOTE 49. Does anyone have any experience with either of these....or suggestions for other keyboard controllers. Right now my setup is:

- Sony VAIO laptop - P4 3.0GHz, 768MB RAM, 60GB HD running Live 3.04 (upgrading soon to 4)
- Edirol FA-101 sound card
- Evolution X-Session
- Korg EA-1
- Boss SP-303
- Boss SE-50
- Alesis 3630
- Alto 8 channel mixer

I just want to have more knobs/keys/buttons/etc...
I'm not a keyboardist, but would like to be able to bang out a few chords. Any help would be appreciatted.
Thanks,
Greg

I'm ridiculously happy with my ReMote 25, mainly because each knob/button/slider can:

transmit on its own individual MIDI channel

transmit on hardware ports MIDI out A, MIDI out B, USB, in any or all combinations

**very valuable** you can set min and max transmission range for each controller, not just 0-127. very very musical for dialing in perfect control.

the ReMote 49 is just the same with a 5 octave kbd, If I didn't have the 25 I'd buy one.
