When running the same projects on 8.4.5 that I previously ran on 8.4.4,
Live seems to be running way heavier.
Yet when monitoring my hardware. It seems its not being pushed.
Task manager isn't showing any signs of strain.
When ableton is maxing out, TManager is showing under 4gb ram and around 30% CPU
When ableton is idle, Live shows CPU @ 42%
Everything was working fine on 8.4.4.
Is anyone else having this problem?
System:
Macbook Pro early 2011 15"
CPU - i7 - 2720QM
12 GB RAM
512gb SSD
BootCAMP - Windows 7 x64
Ableton Live - x64
No Jbridge

Hi Belweather,
So your idle load is bigger than when actually running projects?.
When that is the case - please try to disable / delete the plugins in the project one by one. When this is true, something is leaking in the project.
Please have a look at your audio card settings, if the buffer latency setting changed in the new version. This would also cause a dramatic CPU increase. However not 30% when playing and 42% when idle, that has to be something else.
Please describe the issues and send in the project to support@ableton.com if the first round of rechecks did not do anything for you.
best,
Mads
