Good VSTi's/AU's for Soft Synths

Anyone know any good soft synths that are in VST or AU format. Price range doesn't matter (but it would be nice if they were free!!).

got simpler? TogeoStudios has 4 packs of ambient type samples/presets

yep ... own both... different synths altogether...
FM8 is a recreation of the famous Yamaha DX7 'Frequency Modulation' synth (with additional tweaks...)

I been using fm8 for a good distorted bass sound and it really works. Only set back is it takes away a lot of my CPU. Its still good though, Thanks everyone!
