Need feedback on a couple of mixes

One of these I mixed myself, and the other, my mixing engineer did. I need some outside perspective. I'm not really feeling his mix and I just can't seem to get him to fix the major issue that's bugging me. I'm wondering if I should just ditch his mix all together and use my own. If you have a few minutes, please let me know which mix you like better and why. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

ok, I've just listened very quickly (like 10 sec each). Mix A lacks low end, mix B is a bit more balanced. Both have too many distorted elements and are fatiguing to my ears. Not my type of music, though, so maybe someone else can bring some more constructive comments.

To me, Mix A sounded fuller, with a much more focused treatment of the lead vocal. Mix B sounded very scooped out, and the vocal was pretty buried in the mix. I agree with bicarbone that both mixes are pretty fatiguing to the ears, but I prefer A to B.
