I have just got a indigo io and set it up with AB live 4.1. Since then I have had nothing but problemns with popping and cracking throughout. I have updated all drivers inc win xp etc.
Im am running it on a HP pentium 4 laptop all bios updated etc.
I have tried it with Adobe Audition and also get slight popping and cracking
In preferences (Ableton)I have tried every buffer size without any result, indigo io wav and DX but same. Get nothing when try asio drivers in the driver type but forgive me I am a novice and know very little about this side of it.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try next please
Thank you forum.

1. I think there is a patch for your laptop specific to this problem. Contact Echo support.

2. Make sure your latency is high enough.

3. Format your hard drive and install XP from a normal XP disk and just install only the drivers you absolutely need.

There was not a patch for my laptop and # 3 was the only thing that could fix it!

yep its a driver problem, a certain type of pcmcia adapter (sorry cant remember what its called) doesnt really work with the echo indigo, but never fear for echo made a patch and they will send it to you if you e-mail them

Indeed... There is a problem with some PCMCIA card bus chipsets - mainly ENE...
Here is a link for the required fix:
http://www.echoaudio.com/downloadfiles/ ... neUtil.exe
Hope that helps,
Kind Regards

Thank you

I have tried the download web site tol tek suggested and its not the chipset but thanks.
Was the patch that emissary recommended the same thing or something completely different. ?
When you mention reinstalling win xp and only the drivers I absolutely need, would that just be a standared instalation?
Thank you

Big Thank you
