Authorization problem with ProjectSAM OEE on 64bit version
Authorization problem with ProjectSAM OEE on 64bit version
I installed and used ProjectSAM Orchestral Ensemble Essentials on Live 8.3.4 32bit without any problems.
Looking into the "Preferences/Licenses" dialog in Live 8.3.4 it says:
"Live 8 + 14 Extensions authorized".
Opening up the website dialog on ableton.com it says: "Suite 8 + 3 add-ons" and the "view license details" link shows the ProjectSAM product with the right serial number registered.
When i try to use the ProjectSAM OEE library in Live 8.4b7 64bit it says (sorry, but i use the german version!):
"Die Lizenz zum Verwenden bestimmter geschützter Samples fehlt.
Das Produkt
ProjectSAM Orchestral ensemble Essentials wird zum
Überwinden dieser Einschränkung benötigt.
Rufen Sie bitte die User
Account/Licenses-Voreinstellungen auf, um ein
Produkt zu autorisieren oder zu testen."
Looking into the "Preferences/Licenses" dialog in Live 8.4b7 it says:
"Live 8 + 13 Erweiterungen autorisiert"
Opening up the website dialog on ableton.com gives exactly the same result than before: "Suite 8 + 3 add-ons" etc.
mike
p.s.: It is no problem to use e.g "Session drums" in both applications.

Hi Planblue.
Did you try this in live 8.4b7 32 bit?.
Then we have the error tracked if it is a new problem and if it is specific to the 64 bit version.
Best,
Mads

Re: Authorization problem with ProjectSAM OEE on 64bit version
Hi Michael,
could you try re-authorizing Live 8.4b7 with your user account to unlock the OEE here?
My assumption is that you already had an (earlier) beta installed when you unlocked the OEE in the regular Live 8.3. Each Live version has their own Unlock.cfg file - so you authorized the OEE for 8.3 exclusively.
If a new version is installed, the Unlock.cfg is copied from the last available older version to this newer one. This means every new beta will only copy the Unlock.cfg over from an older beta - where the OEE has never been authorized.
So please try re-authorizing with 8.4b7 and get back to us if it doesn't show up as authorized product afterwards. - I can use the OEE properly with both the 8.4b7 32-bit and 64-bit, so there's at least no general problem with it.
Regards,
Torsten

Re: Authorization problem with ProjectSAM OEE on 64bit version
Hi Thorsten,
Solved!
I re-authorized Live 8.4b7 (64bit) and now "Licences" says:
Live 8 + 14 Extensions and OEE works fine.
btw.: This Beta was my first beta of 8.4 i installed. There was no earlier version but i unlocked OEE in 8.3.4 (32bit) after i installed the 8.4 beta.
Thanks a lot!
Michael

Alright, this was the reason. Cool to hear it works for you now. I'll lock this thread since the problem is solved.planblue wrote: but i unlocked OEE in 8.3.4 (32bit) after i installed the 8.4 beta.
